[SOLVED] Models for Addiction Treatment
Sometimes an addict will not seek help on his or her own. In those cases, the addict’s
family members or friends will look for help, but they often don’t know where to start
looking. They may not know what models for addiction treatment exist or are
appropriate for their loved one. This week, you examined two types of models for
addiction treatment; psychoanalytic and Gestalt models.
These two types of models are not considered evidence-based treatments due to their lack of focus on predefined
behavioral outcomes, but they are still widely used and respected.
For this week’s Assignment, imagine you represent a treatment facility that offers
addiction treatment using the psychoanalytic or Gestalt models. Design a promotional
brochure to attract attention and build interest in the facility.
