This activity addresses module outcomes 1 and 3. Upon completion of this activity, you will be able to:
MO1: Discuss the various definitions of international terrorism. (CO1)
MO3: Explain why the term terrorism is seen as pejorative in nature. (CO1)
Once you have completed all assigned readings, module notes, and discussions, you should be ready to take the quiz. Complete the quiz, which is based on readings, and the notes from Module 1.
The quiz consists of two (2) short answer questions.
Questions:
Identify and explain the four waves of modern terrorism. How did they come about and what is their current status? Which of them is/are still applicable today?
Identify and research a group that was originally considered terrorists, but over time became viewed as patriots or freedom fighters. How did this come about?
Please submit your quiz in a double-spaced document. Responses to each of the quiz questions should be at least 250 words, and your views should be supported with APA citations. Make sure to put the question numbers before each answer.
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.
Check your work and correct any spelling or grammatical errors. When you are ready to submit your work, click “Upload Submission.” Enter the submission title and then click on “Select a file to upload.” Browse your computer, and select your file. Click “Open” and verify the correct file name has appeared next to Submission File. Click on “Continue.” Confirm submission is correct and then click on “Accept Submission & Save.”
