Global Inequality

Identify three countries you think represent each of the three levels of industrialization/development: Most industrialized, industrializing, less industrialized (sometimes also referred to as developed, developing, and less-developed countries). For each of these countries, find the following information: • GDP per capita • Adult literacy rate • Life expectancy at birth What do these numbers suggest about your initial classification? Were you correct? If not, where were you wrong? Explain what role these indicators might play in global stratification. The essay must be 1-2 pages (250-500 words) and reference SCHOLARLY sources (sociological journal) ONLY to support your classification and the indicators of global stratification. All references must be cited in ASA format. Make sure to also cite the sources from where you obtained your data.
