Must have a minimum of 35 references Essay titles Choose ONE of the topics below: 1. Select a public health problem of your choice and discuss why it is a challenge. Critically appraise evidence relating to treatment(s) OR intervention(s) OR policies relating to the issue under discussion. 2. Discuss the potential impacts of population ageing including how demographic and epidemiological transitions affect this? 3. What role does the life-course approach play in our understanding of population health? Please include discussion of including different models of exposure. 4. Using one of the models of the health determinants discuss how the model shows ways in which health can be affected by different health determinants. 5. Discuss the main factors that may cause and maintain health inequalities today). Please take one specific example (e.g poverty, education, lifestyle choices etc.) describe how this might affect inequality levels and how they might effectively be reduced. 6. Strategies for prevention include population-wide strategies and targeted, high-risk strategies focusing on population sub-groups.
