Dark Night
You will attend a selected performance/workshop/seminar of your choice. In your student-led literary study, you are going to evaluate your experience in the form of a recorded presentation. Based on the performance/workshop/seminar you attend, you (and your groupmates, where applicable) are required to: 1. Introduce the performance/workshop 2. Summarise its plot/content 3. Comment on (some of) the following items with reasons ? Suggested items only: BE SELECTIVE; you are encouraged to include extra items!!! For performance: a. actors/acting skills b. costume design, make-up and hairstyling c. lighting and visual effects d. the venue and its management e. sound effects f. stage setting g. (unique) strategies to draw audiences attention h. the audience i. its faithfulness to its original (if any) j. its similarities and different to other relevant stories k. evaluate the literariness of the play (please define the term literariness yourself) by comparing it with one/some of the set texts in this subject l. other issues you notice during the show which are worth attention General instructions 1. A PowerPoint presentation with voice narration is expected, while all other compatible formats are welcome (e.g. a video showing your face and your PPT). 2. (Plan A) You are not allowed to take photos or video of performances (check for workshop), but you should be able to find relevant images/videos online 3. Submission date: 30 Nov, 2020 (MON) by 5pm 4. Group presentations: Same group = same performance; min.: 1 student, max.: 5 students 5.
