What is your version of a story that is happening here? Do you notice the difference in setting and the sequence of the events in comparison to Split Sides 45? How does this change in scenery and sequence influence this story? I have had you watch the first 5 minutes of both Split Sides 45 and Split Sides 46 in the previous page. Because Merce Cunningham, the choreographer, didn’t want to force a story or message upon his audience, it was up to you to create a story for yourselves based on what you saw.
