Disadvantages of Technology on Society During his inaugural address in 1961, President John F. Kennedy stated, The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty, and all forms of human life. Here he points to the dichotomy our technological advances have brought to society, and makes us aware of the monumental impact our choices can have on the world. Since this time, technology has advanced further and faster than ever imagined. For many in todays society, our advancements of technology have improved the human condition so prodigiously that it would be difficult to imagine any disadvantage exists. However, to others, technology has brought about challenges they would prefer the world to be without. What would you consider some of the strongest examples?
