Cite your sources. 5.5.5 – There is a really interesting history regarding smallpox, bubonic plague, and HIV.  Some people are resistant to HIV, and these individuals are more often Caucasian than of any other ethnicity.  It may be because Caucasians were killed more than any other ethnicity by smallpox and the bubonic plague.  What is this evolutionary connection?  What is evidence for this connection?  Which disease do you think contributed to HIV resistance in Caucasian populations today?
