A History of College Athletics Week 1 Assignment

Introduction The history of college sports in the United States is filled with scandal and new regulations.  We will be exploring some of the scandals later in this course and the focus of this assignment should relate more to the history and changes that have occurred.  Activity Instructions Discuss a significant change in regulation that has been adopted by the NCAA. What is the change? Why were the changes made? What impact has it had on the world of intercollegiate athletics and how has it been handled?  Many new regulations are met with reservation, what positive and negative impacts have occurred?  Writing Requirements (APA format) 3-4 pages (approx. 300 words per page), including title and references pages 1-inch margins and double-spaced 12-point Times New Roman font Title page with topic and name of student Reference page (minimum of 4 total resources – two must be from reliable/academic/library resources)
