Art Forms First Draft

Your term paper should demonstrate a) a proficiency with the formal vocabularies of two of those art forms, b) an ability to engage with and close-read particular artworks from those two forms, and c) an awareness of how works of art of different forms might connect through their formal or contextual properties.  This draft should be very well developed, including A. a clear, original, and debatable thesis statement;  B. a well-organized, logical structure with each claim building up to the next; C. evidence of each claim; D. explication of that evidence—that is, analyzing the formal properties of the artwork that most clearly illuminate your claim.  Requirements Four pages of writing not including the works cited page.
