The article When Did Girls Start Wearing Pink?discusses how colors became gender-specific. You may be surprised as you read this history of color in fashion. With this new insight, compare the draped fashions of ancient Greece: the toga, peplos, and chiton. What are the differences in styles between men and women, both architecturally and in how they were worn? Compare to the clothing of today between men and women. What similarities are prevalent?
