Low-income Healthcare

Analyze 1 of the following government intervention programs: o Countercyclical fiscal policies (countering economic disruptions such as the housing bubble and the Great Recession) o US agriculture support programs o Assistance for Low Income Families (choose 1) o Housing vouchers o Earned Income Tax Credit (including Child Tax Credit) o Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) o Low-income healthcare (choose 1) o Medicaid (including Children’s Health Insurance Program). o Affordable Care Act expansion o Social insurance programs (choose 1) o Old Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) o Medicare o Unemployment insurance Write a 700- to 1,050-word summary of your analysis. Identify the intervention and the market failure leading up to the intervention. Complete the following in your paper: o Analyze the arguments for government intervention as opposed to arguments for market-based solutions. Hint:See the information about market failures. o Examine who has been helped and who has been hurt by the selected government intervention. o Examine externalities and unintended consequences of such intervention. For example, consider whether the SNAP program and health coverage for low-income families result in higher future tax revenues because low-income children grow up healthier and produce higher incomes over their lifetimes. o Analyze whether the cost of the intervention you selected as a share of GDP or the number of participants is increasing, decreasing, or varies with the state of the economy, based on the cost trend(or number of participants) since its inception or since 2000. o, Analyze credible economists’ opinions on the success or failure of the intervention that you chose in achieving its objectives. o, Recommend whether the program should be continued as is, discontinued, or modified based on your conclusions. Defend your recommendation. Note: Use of charts and graphs is encouraged with appropriate citations. Any charts or graphs retrieved from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis FRED website may only be included when the data sources used by FRED are US government sources such as the Bureau of Economic Analysis or the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Cite at least 2 academically credible sources.  For more information on Low-income Healthcare read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Developing_country

[SOLVED] Macroeconomic

1.   Choose a topic of interest to you dealing with macroeconomic issues.  For example, students in the past have written about the merits of the minimum wage; trade deficit issues; the relationship between war, uncertainty, and the economy; benefits of free trade; the Fed and the interest rates, etc.  If in doubt, do not hesitate to ask me for advice.  Ensure that the topic you write about interests you since you will have to research the topic and provide a bibliography of your sources.  It is a lot easier to read about topics that have some interest to you than those in which you have no interest. 3.    The paper should consist of the following: Title Page Body of the Paper (5 double-spaced typed pages) Reference page where you list your sources (3 sources) The paper should address the major points of your various sources.  Feel free to add your own opinions to the analysis of your sources.  Don’t be shy about expressing your opinions.  Remember, in economics, everyone has an opinion. 4.     This is very important:  Do not be tempted to use other people’s material as your own.  Give credit where credit is due and list them in your Bibliography.  It is fine to paraphrase as long as you acknowledge the author.  As a reminder, plagiarism will result in a failing grade and be referred for further action. 5.     Good luck and have fun with the paper! [SOLVED] The Revenue Cycle

The following describes the cash receipts process for a company: The mailroom staff consists of 35 clerks who receive and sort the general mail. Included in the mail are envelopes containing customer checks and remittance advice, which the clerks open to verify that the checks are signed and are constant in amount with the remittance advice. The checks and remittance advice are organized into batches and sent to the AR department where the AR clerk reviews them for correctness, posts to the AR sub-ledger. The clerk then prepares two copies of a remittance list. One of these is filed in the department along with the remittance advice and the other is sent to the cash receipts department with the checks. Upon receipt of the checks and remittance list, the cash receipts clerk reconciles the documents and post the checks to the cash receipts journal. At the end of the day, the clerk prepares a deposit slip and sends it along with the checks to the bank. Finally, the clerk summarizes the batch of cash receipts transactions and posts to the general ledger AR control account and the cash account. Required:  a.
