Remote Learning impact on young kids

Students are required to complete a research project examining a topic of choice as it relates to poverty in America, such as risk factors, policy issues, or community awareness.  The student will develop a specific research question and analyze it using existing literature, data sources and policy analysis. In text citations and a works cited page is required. How does education affect poverty or how does poverty affect education.

Deliverables A 200-word paragraph on what you learn about effective academic research, including challenges you face in locating sources or relevant information for your paper. Follow MLA formatting to list your name, course name, and date on the top left of the first page and your last name and page number in the header on the top right of all pages (explore the Purdue OWL  (Links to an external site.)  website for examples and review the MLA checklist in Step 3). Identifying information, page numbers, title, and ‘Works Cited’ page(s) are not included in the word count. A bibliography with no fewer than 10 sources cited. Your assignment will be graded according to the Lumerit Course Grading Rubric  (Links to an external site.) . Please reference this rubric when completing each assignment. Step 1: Expand your research Conduct searches on your topic using academic research websites. Your local public library provides premium discipline-specific research database access with membership. Repeat any of the steps described until you have collected 20-30 potential sources. Step 2: Compose a working bibliography After reviewing each source, compose a working bibliography in the MLA documentation style. Your working bibliography should include no fewer than 10 sources. A working bibliography is just a draft of the final version that will be included in your final paper. Please review pp. 374-375 of The Little Brown Compact Handbook  (Links to an external site.)  to learn how to create a working bibliography. If the source can be accessed online, list the DOI or URL of the website, even if the citation format doesn’t require it. The aim of a working bibliography is to help you quickly access your sources. This is an assignment you will want to keep in your personal files as well as submitting feedback. Step 3: Reflect on the research process In no more than 200 words, discuss what you have learned about effective academic research. Include a list of challenges that you faced in locating sources for your paper. Review the MLA checklist  (Links to an external site.)  to make sure you have formatted your paper correctly. Before submitting your paper, review this video  (Links to an external site.)  about Unicheck to ensure that all citations are formatted correctly. Submit your draft to obtain your first Unicheck report (this video  (Links to an external site.)  will show you how). Unicheck highlights anything that is either plagiarized or incorrectly cited. Correct your draft based on your Unicheck report, then run your essay through the Unicheck report again. You may obtain up to three Unicheck reports. Submit your final draft only when it shows a high originality score.

Text = Curriculum: Foundations, principles, and issues (7th edition) In Chapter 8 of our text, you learned that implementation is a change process. Create a graphic organizer comparing the models of change. Who are or should be the major curriculum implementation players? After reading about the emergence of the first junior college and its mission,  discuss the salient issues as presented by the authors and provide  your opinion as to the “future” of state colleges and include a rationale for this.

As the classroom environment expands and shifts to accommodate student and societal needs, online learning has become an increasingly important topic in education. Effective educators must be comfortable with this type of instruction to ensure the continuity of instruction when residential instruction is not possible or when students learn better outside of the school building.    Instructions   For this assignment, you will write a 1,000-word research paper in current APA format that describes the principles of online learning and online instructional strategies. What are the skills you will need to reach this career goal? Include your plans for financing your education. Please note this information is to be written in your own words. You are required to cite this information in your research paper and on the reference page.   4.  Paragraph 4 should summarize the LOCAL information you found about your career using Career Coach  (Links to an external site.) , Career OneStop  (Links to an external site.) , or another reputable local source. Give the annual salary, job outlook, a brief description of the job’s responsibilities and the required education for the HOUSTON area.   5.  Now it’s time to talk about your financial future according to the Texas Reality Check  (Links to an external site.)  report. Use the information from your financial assignment to write a paragraph that addresses the following. Give the amount of money you will need to earn to maintain the lifestyle you desire to live in the future.  Describe the lifestyle you intend to live and explain whether the expected annual salary (local or national) for your career will allow you to live that lifestyle. If it doesn’t, describe what steps you will take to deal with this situation. If you will have excess income, discuss what this will mean for your future.   6.  Compare the annual salary you will need to live in Houston to the salary you would need to live the same lifestyle in two other cities. Identify and report the largest percentage differences between the cities. Discuss whether family, groceries, housing or transportation are significant factors. Refer to the Goal Setting assignment. State your goal and what date you plan to achieve it. Tell the reader three specific steps you will take to make the goal a reality. Acknowledge obstacles that will get in your way and say what you plan to do about those obstacles. End your essay with a narrative statement describing how your life will look and how you will feel when you reach your goal. What are my short-term and long-term career goals? Where do you see yourself in ten years?   Your essay must be typed, 12 point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and formatted according to MLA or APA style. You must create a reference page according to MLA or APA style. When you use data from your research, you must follow that data with in-text citations. Summary of the journal article to include but not limited to (research problem, research design, research methods, participants, data collection and instruments used, results, etc.) The importance or lack of importance of this topic to rural education or rural life. Justify your response. Include a discussion of how the findings can be used. What additional research is needed on this topic?  Technical Aspects Review the technical aspects of the journal article. Was the article from a peer-reviewed journal? Do the backgrounds of the researchers indicate that they would be experts in this field? Would this article be good for a literature review? Justify your responses. Review the APA issues that you note in the article. This must include page numbering, headings, running head, page layout, use of numbers, citations, and references. Sheltering instruction is an essential component of any program supporting English learners.
