The Mental Health

Literature Review: Impacts of Video Games on the Mental Health of Kids with AutismOver the years, pertinent research has suggested that violent video games can promoteantisocial and aggressive behavior in children (Zayeni, Raynaud, & Revet, 2020). However, benign video games such as the ones, which emphasize storytelling can benefit children with con-ditions that prevent them from effectively interacting with others. Children with autism fall intothis category. Autism is defined as a mental development disorder that results in a person havingchallenges communicating or socially interacting with others, in addition to having repetitive andrestricted behavior. This paper focuses on the current research about how video games affect themental health of kids with autism. The available research seems to suggest that there are certainvideo games, which can help children with autism to enhance their quality of life by helpingthem cope with their symptoms effectively.State of the ResearchAccording to Zayeni, Raynaud, and Revet (2020), the use of video games in the field ochild psychiatry has developed tremendously over the past decade. They note that these gameshave become effective alternatives to traditional psychotherapy techniques. To evaluate the effec-tiveness of these games in preventing or treating psychiatric problems in children, Zayeni, Ray-naud, and Revet (2020) carried out a study whereby they evaluated 22 studies from Medline’sdatabase, which were published between 2012 and 2019. 14 of them focused on serious gameswhile 8 focused on commercial games. Zayeni, Raynaud, and Revet (2020) concluded that eventhough video games can offer an effective trajectory of child psychotherapy, there is a need toconduct longitudinal research, which can reveal the sustained effects of the benefits gained fromthese games. An example of such games is called Mindlight. This game focuses on lowering anxiety inchildren. Since kids with autism experience anxiety regularly, Wijnhoven et al. (2015) carried outa study to investigate the effectiveness of Mindlight in reducing the anxiety-related symptoms inkids with autism. They conducted a randomized controlled trial with experimental and controlconditions. Each of these conditions had 60 children aged between 8 and 16 years. Wijnhoven eal. (2015) hypothesized that the children in the experimental condition would have reduced anxi-ety levels due to playing Mindlight each week.Edwards et al. (2017) also carried out a study to see if a sports-active video game could enhancethe object control skills of kids with autism. They investigated 11 children between the ages of 6and 10 years. From their results, they concluded that actual skills were not improved for both theintervention and control groups. However, they noted that perceived skills in the interventiongroup were improved. Finally, Beaumont et al. (2021) researched how a video game called Se-cret Agent Society (SAS) could enhance the social skills of kids with autism. Their experimentinvolved 70 children aged 7 to 12 years. 35 of the children were made to pay the SAS gamewhile the rest played a caregiver-supported game aimed at enhancing their social skills. Theirresults showed that the children who played the SAS video game showed more improvement intheir social skills compared to the control group.ConclusionThis literature review has focused on the current research about how video games affect the men-tal health of kids with autism. From the articles reviewed, it is clear that benign games greatlyimprove the kids’ social skills and reduce their anxiety. However, they do not enhance their actu-al skills relate to object control. Nevertheless, video games appear promising as a psychotherapyoption considering that standard psychotherapy is expensive for most parents. Finally, it is para-mount that more studies are done on the long-term effects of these games on the kids to evaluatethe sustainability of the games in helping kids with autism.

Staff Hiring Process Review

One of the most important responsibilities a principal has is to hire the very best staff to educate and care for students. Reflecting upon the skills of teachers needed in order to determine teaching assignments is essential to practice. Review either the “Antelope High School Hiring Scenario” or the “Antelope Elementary School Hiring Scenario” to inform the assignment. In 750-1,000 words, provide short answers to the following questions regarding how you would fill the remaining positions: Based on the descriptions of the positions and leadership roles that need to be filled, what 3-4 qualities are you looking for in a candidate? Provide a rationale. Who will sit on the interview committee? Will you use the same interview team for all positions? Why or why not? Explain your reasoning. Are there positions you will try to fill prior to others? Why or why not? Identify 4-5 questions you plan to use in the interview. Will you include any performance or behavior focused questions? Why or why not? Explain your reasoning. Identify 3-4 legalities you will have to take into account when completing the hiring process. How will these legalities affect your decision-making? Rubber Material Research

Refer to the Case Study Below:Create a WBS and WBS Dictionary. Now that your group (at Corwin) has a firm understanding of the product scope (i.e., “the features and functions that characterize” [the new rubber material] p. 154, PMBOK 5e), as well as the project scope (i.e., the work necessary to deliver the product), create a WBS (no deeper than Level 4 on any tranche) and WBS Dictionary. The following elements of the WBS dictionary must be completed: WBS ID, WBS Element Name, Description, Accountable Person, Acceptance Criteria, Assumptions, Constraints. For project management-related work deliverables (e.g, plans, meetings and reviews, reports), also complete the Activity ID and Activity for each work package,Additional considerations: The project will be completed in phases so preparing a WBS with phases at level 2 is a sensible way to design the WBS. The project phases are: 1.1. Project Planning, 1.2. Rubber Material Research, 1.3 Rubber Material Development, and 1.4 Project Close. The work required to complete the project associated with project management for execution, monitoring and controlling processes, can be sub-elements in the research and development phases. The lucrative production contract (a hopeful outcome) is not part of this project, but could be part of the business decision by Corwin to expend their own funds to complete the development if additional funding is needed.

Atmosphere of School

Section1Writing Focus20 POINTSRead the essay below and answer the questions that follow:To Go or Not to Go to CollegeFinishing high school then college and getting a decent job are a typical path for almost everyone. We have been programed from birth to follow the pathway laid out for us by our predecessors. However, the world is constantly changing. College is no longer the necessary step between your adolescent years and your future. There are some points that you should consider before you jump onto the college bandwagon.First, it is absurdly expensive. The cost of college has skyrocketed in recent years. Attending a decently-ranked university can easily cost upwards of $100,000. What is even scarier: according to the Wall Street Journal, college graduates who take out loans leave with, on average, $27,000 in student debt. Most importantly, this is a debt that they cannot default on.Second, you mistakenly think it will prepare you for career success. School teaches obedience and discipline. If you think about it, the most successful students are the ones who do their homework, and do it on time. Nevertheless, employers are looking for something that schools do not teach. They value people who are self-directed, can set goals, take initiative, and succeed at work not just in school. Moreover, getting a degree does not guarantee getting a job. The New York Times calls recent college graduates “Generation Limbo.” More than 44% of college graduates under the age of 25 are either unemployed or underemployed, which means they are forced to take jobs that do not require a degree. Thus, if you have student debt, how are you going to pay it back if you are making little to no money? You need to realise that everyone else is doing it. Almost 15,000,000 students enrol as undergraduates each year. Going to college no longer distinguishes you from the crowd. Instead, a college education has become ubiquitous. Therefore, it will be hard to stand out.Interestingly, you have not seriously explored any other options. In fact, it is what you “should” be doing, but not what you want to do. You have been told your entire life that college is the logical next step, but you do not actually have a reason as to why you are going. College does not excite you nearly as much as does going out into the real world. Attending a 4-year institution is far from the only path to take after high school, despite what your college counsellor (or parents, peers, and teachers) might tell you. In reality, you have a spectrum of options, from taking a gap year to entirely designing your own education.Despite the way they are portrayed, normal people can and do succeed without going to college. Their stories are just not as widely publicized as are those of Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg. A tried-and-true route can be through getting an unpaid internship in a field you are interested in. Learn as much as you can, then leverage your experience and new network of professional contacts to get a paid internship. At that time, use that experience to get a full-time job. Remember, it is not a choice between attending college or working at McDonald’s.Most people learn more outside of the classroom than inside of it. For some people, learning via textbook is tedious. They prefer learning by doing working, exploring, creating, or otherwise doing things in the real world. Others have no problem learning out of a textbook. Instead, it is the one-pace-fits-all atmosphere of school that bothers them. A classroom setting is optimal only for a small number of people. It may suit you or not. Therefore, try to figure out how you learn best. Most importantly, there is an incredibly increasing amount of resources available for free. Almost any knowledge you could possibly hope to gain these days can be found on the internet. If not, you can get in touch with someone who has this knowledge or knows how to get it by using the Internet. “You wasted $150,000 on an education you could a got for a dollar 50 cents in late charges at the public library”, said Will Hunting. To sum up, the previous points help in recognizing that college is not the only place where you can get more affordable and meaningful education. You can pay lots of money for the curriculum and social experience that college provides, and have it delivered on a silver platter, or you can do it yourself, creating an educational experience that you actually want to have for a fraction of the cost. The choice is yours, so weight up the effects of such a decision.1. What is the subject/topic of this essay?
