Answer the following questions in an essay format. You need to develop an argument throughout your answer. 1.Why has the Canadian economy been dependent on both skilled and un-skilled immigrant labour for the last 150 years? 2. What were the main reasons that made Canada change its racism immigration policies with the introduction of the Points System in 1967?

Read the reading first, understand deontology, consequentialism, virtue ethics, contractualism and legalism, ethical codes, cosmopolitan ethics. Write the paper based on these ethical theory frameworks. Write a 3-page paper describing an ethical issue that you have encountered at work, school or any other organization. I would prefer if the situation caused you personally to have ethical concerns in an organizational or group setting where you lacked the full agency to act. Describe the situation, why it caused ethical concerns and how it was (or was not) resolved. Would you handle it differently in retrospect? Categorize the philosophical approach (deontology (basic duty or contractualism), consequentialism, legalism or virtue ethics) that you or others used to identify the ethical problem and/or solution (it can, of course, be a combination of approaches). You should feel free to mask or alter any names or other details in order to protect confidentiality.

While this is an interesting topic, it is not really an IR topic. Also, when interested in a current or evolving situation, one often needs to research the category into which it fits. For instance, you might look at the research on the current wave of right-wing populism around the world. Or something like that.
