For this discussion, you will examine information and data from the SWOT analysis you conducted in Week 2 and learn how that information and data can be applied to the Environmental Analysis section of your marketing plan for the Final Project. To prepare for this discussion, read Chapter 5 of the course text. It is also recommended that you review Chapter 4, which was read last week. The creation of a successful strategic plan is derived from researched data; in particular, applicable data can be obtained from a SWOT analysis. Review section 5.4 of the course text, which presents examples of environmental analysis, both internal and external, for a hypothetical nursing facility. Examine the strategic plan of the HCO you have chosen for your Final Project and the results from the SWOT analysis that you performed in Week 2. Then, in your initial post, address the following questions: What external and internal environmental analysis data could be applied to the marketing plan you are developing for your Final Project? How will the environmental analysis support the marketing plan to fulfill the organizations strategic objectives?

Select an interaction, event or experience that stands out for you during your practicum. Write a narrative summary of 2-3 paragraphs that explains what happened. Write a paragraph or two that captures your reflection on how you interpret the event. Write another paragraph or two from a different perspective.  How do you think the other person in the encounter interpreted the event?  If you were the patient in this interaction with you as the provider, how would you feel as that patient? For example, if a parent brought the child to the appointment, you could write about how the parent might view the interaction.  Or, if you are seeing a couple, how the non-patient might view the appointment/interaction. This is you seeing things from the other person’s viewpoint. Finally, write a paragraph that expresses what you have learned from this reflective activity that will influence your practice as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Tie in any relevant course material from any of your previous courses that helped you respond to this reflection. If you support any of your ideas with sources, cite appropriately.

That is, what is the doctor’s professional relationship to the client, and what duties apply if the client requests a particular service? What is the professional relationship between pharmacist and client, and what precise obligations/duties does a pharmacist have towards an adult client who has a prescription for Plan B and wants the prescription filled? What is the professional relationship between the prescribing physician and the pharmacist? Your thesis must address this question: Suppose the year is 2012 and emergency contraceptives (so-called “Plan B”) require a prescription, and suppose the pharmacist has a strong moral objection to Plan B. Does the pharmacist’s professional autonomy justify the pharmacist’s refusal of service to a client?   In order to defend your answer, prepare the reader by answering the following questions: Do a physician and client have a fiduciary relationship, rather than an agency relationship or paternalistic relationship? Do a pharmacist and client have a fiduciary relationship, rather than an agency relationship or paternalistic relationship? You should draw from the material in the assigned readings to develop this part of your paper.
