The constitution is an important document because helps the judicial system determine what is unconstitutional and what is not. It is the law of the land.  The first ten amendments of the Constitution are called the Bill of Rights and that is where you can find all the rights that we have as Americans. Some examples include the right to bear arms, the right to assembly, speech, press, etc. These rights are clearly defined, and you cannot make assumptions because they are clearly written out in the Constitution. My overall perspective of the supreme court is that they are important to uphold the constitution, and for every law and amendment that is not in “plain English” is carefully thought of and interpretive. It is important as the supreme court helps with the checks and balances. 

An employee of the army while on assignment with a contrator alleged she was raped by a group of coworkers while she was on an assignment in Iraq. The sexual assualt took place in the employee’s bedroom in the barracks provided to her by her employer during a time when she was off-duty. Prior to accepting the assignment, she signed an agreement to use a dispute resolution process culminating in arbitration for legal claims “related to her employment including any and all personal injury claim(s) arising in the workplace.” Discuss whether the arbitration agreement prevents this employee from suing her employer for allowing the assault to occur.

The purpose of this case study is to research and complete a thorough analysis of the Exclusionary Rule. Your paper will summarize the Exclusionary Rule and analyze the concepts below. Your paper should discuss the following questions: What is the Exclusionary Rule? How was it created? Why was it created? What is the purpose of the Exclusionary Rule? Why does it only apply to criminal cases and not to civil cases? Is the Exclusionary Rule effective in achieving the stated reasons for its creation? What parameters and remedies are in place to prevent violation of the exclusionary rule? What is qualified immunity, and how does it directly correlate with the exclusionary rule? What impact did Mapp v. Ohio and the United States v. Analyzing each author’s quality of evidence, awareness of the target audience, and potential for personal bias will help you determine the appropriateness of books, articles, and other documents that you read. For this Assignment, you evaluate a scholarly article. As you review articles, consider the ways that the different backgrounds of the authors and their readers may affect both the creation and the interpretation of the writing. To prepare: Select an article from either the Walden Library or the Internet related to public policy and administration and your field of interest. Consider how different audiences could interpret the selected article. Pay particular attention to the quality of evidence that the author presents.
