Find and record the pulse rate of 10 different people where you work. Tell us a little about the population from which you drew your data.  I collected the following data…radial pulse rates 54, 62, 63, 72, 75, 77,80, 83, 96, 112.  My co-workers that I received my data from range from 24-year-old healthy, fit runner to a 64-year-old who is 2 months away from retirement.  The data came from colleagues that are nurses, a house keeper, resident doctors, unit secretary, and a surgical technician.   Describe your findings in terms of central tendency and variability. Consider using some of the following to help you form your initial discussion post: What are your measures of central tendency (i.e., mean, median, and mode)? Which might be the better measure for central tendency and why? What is the standard deviation of your data? How variable are the data (range)? Are there any outliers? Investigate possible reasons for these outliers, and things that might limit them if further study were to be carried out. What are some variables that should be considered in discussing your measures of central tendency and variation? Is there any skewness in your measured data? How would you describe this data (i.e. what insights did you gain from this data)?

The Occupational Employment Statistics (OES) program under Bureau of Labor Statistics produces employment and wage estimates annually for nearly 800 occupations. Browse through the website and pick an industry of your interest and answer the following two questions in your main post: 1) What is the trend of the employment in this particular industry in a particular state/metropolitan area/local county in the last 5-10 years? 2) How has the industry been affected by public health crisis such as the covid-19 pandemic or natural disasters such as hurricane or tropical storms? Support your opinions with statistical evidence or relevant economic articles. In the end, don’t forget to raise a meaningful question to keep the discussion moving.  You are strongly encouraged to do research on your topic with at least one reference citation (web citation acceptable) in APA style. Please provide your citation/reference at the end of each post.

Walden Attachment – Looking at the Excel output, and the Regression Equation they wrote out, interpret the slope of their Regression Equation.  Use the Regression Equation to make a prediction and show the work for your predicted value based on your expression.   For Example, if the attachment used Year to predict Price, plug in a Year value into the regression equation and use it to predict the Price of a vehicle.  Does this predicted Price value make sense with their data? Jackson Attachment – It is important to remember that typically a two-factor regression model cannot accurately describe the entire situation. Look at the dependent variable on attachment. Name at least 2 independent factors you would use to run a Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) and explain why you feel they are related.  Then use those factors to run a Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) on the attached data and see if the variables you chose are related to the dependent variable they chose.  What is your MLR equation?  Is your MLR significant?  Are any of the Independent factors significant?  What is the R2 value?  Explain and interpret this value and how it relates to the MLR.  Make sure you include your MLR Excel output as an attachment in your response post.

Mid Term Paper: You will write a paper in proper APA format, including a title page, be double spaced in 12 pt. font, and include citations. The Greed Cycle” on page 175-185 will be presented. The paper should be between 3-5 pages excluding the title and reference pages. Your answers must make an argument and support it with ethical and logical arguments. You must use a robust amount of course material and facts from the case study to support your answers. Make sure you support your answers with facts, not opinions. The following three questions will need to be answered. A. Do you agree that investors and executives are too greedy OR do you think this is just capitalism at work? Should there be changes? If so, what? If not, why? B. Do the issues discussed by Cassidy denote deep, permanent flaws in our corporate system? Explain your stance. C. What effect has the “greed cycle” discussed by Cassidy had on the rest of the economy and on our society? Can we avoid future greed cycles or are they an inevitable part of our system?
