Include your answers to the following questions in the forum post in which you post your article: What is the primary contribution of the study? Identify the theory and hypothesis/hypotheses. Are the methods appropriate for the research question? Do the findings support the conclusion? How might you design a study in response to this article?

In this first part of our discussion board, each of you is going to choose a theory that is discussed in chapter three of the book. It can be realism, liberalism, radicalism, or constructivism (the reason I’ve not included feminism is that it’s more of a critique of the other theories rather than a standalone theory of its own). You can choose whichever one you want. You shouldn’t need anything other than the book and the videos in Module 2 to do this assignment, but you can also use other internet sources if you would like, so long as they are reputable. Ideally, please post your response below rather than uploading it as a word document/PDF, since that’s harder for your classmates to read. I would like you to compose a 300-500 word post that summarizes the following about your theory: 1) What are the basics of your theory? What does your theory think are the most important things to pay attention to in international relations? What is the role of the state in your theory? 2) What do you find compelling about your theory? What makes it believable? 3) What do you find unbelievable or unrealistic about your theory? You can score up to 20 points based on your use of evidence, the thoroughness and accuracy of your answer, and your correct usage of grammar/spelling.

Congratulations! On your new role as the newest member of the US Supreme Court. Your task is to record a yes or no voters on the following three questions:   *Does the constitution protect the right of privacy   *Did the state law, as applied in this specific case, violate a right to privacy?   *Does the state sodomy law deny the equal protection guaranteed by the 14th Amendment Facts: These two gentlemen were arrested when they were caught engaging in illegal consensual sodomy in the privacy of their home. Before 2003, this behavior was considered a misdemeanor crime. When the officer arrived under the false report of a jealous friend, these two gentlemen were discovered and arrested.  The third person on this scenario was arrested for filing a false report. The sodomy charge resulted in a short stay in jail and a small $ fine However, they fought back bringing this all the way to the life-time tenured us Supreme Court. Their argument is law passed and enforced in this situation was unconstitutional. This was a 6-3 decision allowing for disagreement. I want you to understand the power of the US Supreme Court to challenge the policies of any state. In this case, a to challenge to a conservative policy. If you side with Lawrence, the law is voided. If you vote with Texas, the homosexual act remains a crime. Record your yes or no vote in each question and write an explanation that explains your vote on the case. It is not necessary to explain each question. A yes vote in # 2 or 3 gets rid of the sodomy law.  A no vote on #1 -is an automatic no on #2. 4 page 1000-1200 word essay to answer the question;  With the seeming decline of the CBC, this will undoubtedly make Canadians more dependent on private media sources. There are two sets of questions below Jervis 1-5 and Larsen 6-10. Address one of the Jervis questions and one of the Larsen questions in a single answer that weaves both together coherently.  Length of the answer:  150-200 words.  1.  How exactly does an actor’s insecurity present them with a dilemma instead of a straightforward challenge on how to respond to it? 2.  How is it that two adversaries would end up cooperating with each other and still remain adversaries? 3.  What are the main differences between the Stag Hunt and the Prisoner Dilemma?  4.  What does Jervis mean by the terms “offense-defense balance” and then “offense-defense differentiation”? 5. Explain your ratings. 6.  Larsen suggests that trust among states is necessary for them to cooperate.  Would Jervis agree?  Why or why not? 7.  What is/are the core missed opportunities which concerned Larsen when she wrote the article?  What might be a core missed opportunity in the last four years?  Elaborate. 8.  Larsen suggests that distrust is often a function of a lack of empathy, and that without empathy it is easier to understand how another’s “aggressive” action is hostile while the same “aggressive” action undertaken by oneself is not hostile.  Do you think American leaders have empathy for U.S. adversaries?  Explain.  9.  For a current missed opportunity, describe a GRIT strategy that makes cooperation and conflict resolution more likely. 10.  Larsen contends that some state actors may not be reassured by one or two conciliatory actions taken by their adversary.  If that is the case, then what are the possible pitfalls of GRIT? Offer an illustration.
