Signature Assignment Outline Contemporary psychology has become highly diversified. Many perspectives have been adopted for the study of psychology. Each of these perspectives sees behavior and experience in a unique way that frequently contradicts other highly regarded perspectives. For this assignment, review the text to discover more about the seven perspectives of psychology (neuroscience, evolutionary, behavior genetics, psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, and social-cultural).  This is based on YOUR interpretation of the academic material. Rely on your own words and your interpretation of the material for this assignment. While direct quotes may be used, do so sparingly. Your instructor will want to know how you define the terms, perspectives, and ideas. Remember, you still give credit to your source when paraphrasing the main ideas. Describe each of these perspectives. Include a minimum of one peer-reviewed article or text reference for each perspective. Select any two perspectives and identify similarities and conflicting viewpoints. (How do these perspectives differ from the others? Identify which perspective would be most beneficial in understanding and treating the disorder. Discussion- Stress, Lifestyle, and Health The Impact of Stress This chapter seems to be a timely reminder about the impact of stress and ways to cope with it.  Imagine your 17-year old sister is about to start her first semester of college. She’s always been one to do it all, but can become easily stressed. You are worried about her starting this next step in her life and want to give her some tips and tricks from a pro!! 1.  Describe some of the negative effects of high levels of stress. 2.  Using specific theories and examples from your readings, what advice would you give her about ways to manage, prevent, and cope with stress?  Discussions require a minimum of 3 posts. The following represents the issues: Residents are not opening up during group process meetings (there seems to be a lack of trust or cohesion in the group). When reporting during individual therapy sessions, residents find it difficult to describe how the recreational therapy activity for the week has helped them with resolution of their issues. The boss has observed that during the group process meetings, many of the residents are not paying attention (i.e., they are not engaged in the flow of the session). The boss reports that he or she has noticed that when residents return from recreational therapy activities, many of them are complaining about being sore (pain in their muscles). Although the program director would like to have all of the questions answered, he or she has asked that you select 1 of the questions (the one that would be most interesting to you). The assignment he or she has given you is to propose a research process that will answer your selected question. The organization is committed to answering these questions, so it will fund the study that you propose. You will then write a literature review that summarizes what is already known about the topic. Keep in mind that this is an effort to address an area that is important to your boss. You must ensure that the sources are credible and directly related to the question that you posed. The review should include the following: *****Introduction: This section discusses what will be covered in the literature review. It must contain a statement of the research question that is being explored in the review. This should be 1–2 paragraphs, at the most. Body of the review: This contains a discussion of the sources that were found in relation to the research question or topic. It is divided into sections based on what is being covered. You should use headers and subheaders in accordance with APA standards to organize the body. ******Conclusion: This section is a very brief statement of what was covered in the body of the review as it relates to the research question or topic. It should end with a comment that addresses why the study is needed (i.e., it will fill a gap in the body of knowledge about the topic under study). Methodology (from Week 3): In this section of your proposal, you will describe the type of research design (i.e., quantitative or qualitative) and the method that you will use to answer the proposed question. This should also include information related to who will participate, the materials that you will need to complete the study, and the procedure that you will follow. In Europe, adolescents are often required to make career decisions by middle adolescence and partake in an apprenticeship. American adolescents often have a much longer period of exploration. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the early decision made by many European adolescents versus the longer exploration period experienced by American adolescents. It is a synthesis of the material you found into a cohesive review of the literature on your chosen experiment.   3)    Methods: Methods section of the research paper should Include information about the participants and the stimuli, and a brief description of the procedures followed to complete the experiment successfully. ·     This section provides information on how the experiment was conducted.   4)    Results: Explain your findings in the experiment in detail.   It shouldn’t contain an analysis of the results. That part is done in the conclusion section. ·     The results section should explain your finding in the experiment in detail.   5)    Discussion and conclusions:    Were the results of your final project experiment the same as your expected hypotheses? Mention any results that run counter to your expected hypotheses. In your opinion, what factors could have influenced the results? What real-life psychological phenomena might be explained or modeled by the findings of this experiment? How? ***The difference between a great research paper and a marginal one is the depth and originality of the discussion and conclusions section. This is where you bring together what you have learned through your research as well as through the course regarding your topic in the concluding remarks of your paper. The discussion and conclusions section should be one to two pages in length.
