Inclusion of students with disabilities into the regular education classroom, is an important component of IDEA. Read arguments regarding inclusion (both pros and cons) from both of the websites listed below and write a response regarding inclusion and whether you believe it is practical or not. Happiness Paper Assignment The assignment is to write a personal reflection paper on the selections from the Readings In Classical Ethics book, we have been conducting a study of. Please see the syllabus for guidelines on a paper form. The paper you write will be judged upon its content and the following outline  {Choose 7 of the following 9} The Ethics of Stein The Ethics of Plato The Ethics of Aristotle The Ethics of Epicurus The Ethics of Seneca The Ethics of Augustine The Ethics of Kant The Ethics of Mill The Ethics of Manning My [meaning your] Reflections on EthicsConclusion The individual sections on “The Ethics of ____” will not be expected to be comprehensive in nature and thus do not require any outside research. I would simply like you to give a brief explanation of the ethics of the philosopher in question covering some of the basic issues we covered in class. How does this philosopher define happiness? What are some of the major pitfalls to attaining happiness for this philosopher? What issues need to be worked out or balances need to be maintained in order to attain happiness as defined by this philosopher? A good thing to do with regard to these descriptions is to search for a one-sentence thesis statement that describes each ethical theory. For example: “Mill’s theory seeks to bring the greatest amount of happiness to the greatest amount of people.” Start your section on each philosopher in this way and then delve into some of the other questions. Please do not make these descriptions into one long critique. For you really do not have the credibility to critique a philosopher until you demonstrate that you, at least to some extent, understand their thought.I suggest you write the body of the paper first and then write the “My Reflections on Ethics” section afterward. A good way to go about this is to simply answer the classical question of ethics (“How can I live the good and happy life?”) for yourself incorporating some of the ideas from the 7 philosophers you choose to write about in the main body of the paper. Then write a conclusion and, after everything else is done, write a short introduction to the paper. This sort of paper will require at least 6 pages and might go as long as 10. The key points to keep in mind are: follow the outline, it is a reflection paper and not a research paper, and write the body of the paper first and the introduction last. I will grade the paper on form, content, and originality. The criteria for form is in the syllabus, the information for content is in your mind, notes and the Readings In Classical Ethics book, and the originality is within each one of you. Remember to take the time to reflect upon the material and to be confident in your own voice.This paper is due in the first week of November (on the day we cover Manning’s Ethics) and shall be turned in through Canvas.

Paper: In the introduction to your paper, please explain why the topic is important and worth further investigation. The paper should not exceed the 8 page limit and it must be double-spaced and incorporate the MLA referencing style. When writing your paper consider the following questions relating to the sociology of deviance.  INTRODUCTION: This will be a literature review on what has been researched on the topic you have chosen. This should be approximately 2 pages long with a thesis. Please provide a history on the topic.   BODY (this is 2 parts) – 200 points             ***Theory (100 points) – pick one perspective (functionalist, conflict, symbolic interactionist). First explain the perspective, generally, following how this perspective views your topic. Second part to the theory sections is applying a deviant theory to the topic you have chosen. It is essential that you use empirical sources (books, journal articles, etc.) to support your thesis. 30 points. Finally, to finish off the theory section, what do the key academic scholars in the area have to say about the topic? To what extent do they agree? 20 points. If possible, provide alternate perspectives. 20 pts 3. How do these deviants view their behaviour? For example, do they regard their deviance as a one-time aberration or see it as a deviant career? Justify your answer. 20 pts 4. What impacts (both positive and negative) does the deviance behaviour have on society? 20 pts 5. In what ways has society responded or reacted to the deviance? 20 pts. Each of these should be approximately a page in length with additional resources to back up what you are stating. Conclusion Please do not summarize your paper. This section can be a brief summary emphasizing your thesis statement. This section needs to focus on further research. Brainstorm what should be examined in this topic. Upon graduation, you have secured a job as a tourism specialist with the world wildlife fund. Your first assignment is to be a team member charged with helping area in Zambia. This country is located in south-central Africa. Its government is considering a new national park and has requested expert assistance from the fund. The president of the fund has made it very clear to the team that such plans must also aim to improve living standards for the local population. These standards,  at present, are grievously low. Most local people are subsistence farmers. They occasionally shoot big-game animals that damage their crops, and also for meat. After extensive field study, a particularly attractive area has been found in which the scenery is spectacular, the climate very pleasant, the natural history resources outstanding, and the local people friendly and hospitable. Thus the proposed park seems to have an excellent potential for attracting substantial numbers of ecotourist. Propose some conceptual ideas as to how this challenge can be met successfully.
