What rules do you have and how did you first introduce them? What consequences do you have for rule violations? How is the physical space set up to discourage misbehavior? How do you encourage positive motivation in your lessons? How do you encourage positive motivation when working with individual students? Be specific here to describe particular motivation constructs (e.g. mastery goals, SDT, self-efficacy) that you hope to generate in your students. Next, describe and analyze a behavior challenge that you will be focusing on and the setting for your paper. The write up should include: a) A detailed description of the behavior challenge you are focusing on. b) An analysis of the problem in its setting. When does the problem occur? Where does the problem occur? How regularly is this a problem? What seems to trigger the problem? What seems to ease the problem? Who is involved? What exactly needs to be changed? What should happen instead? Diagnose your student/s based on the concepts from our class. It may be particularly useful here to diagnose student problems through a motivational lens. For example, students may have mastery avoidance goals, which is the root cause of their behavioral challenge. As another example, students may have difficulty in relating to their peers thus causing their behavioral issues. Discuss the problems that the student is having in terms of the classroom management constructs. Describe a behavior 1-to-3 possible solutions to solve the behavioral challenges that you mentioned in the diagnosis section. The solutions should include these details: Description of the solution/s details A detailed description of the steps involved in administering the intervention. A description of the evidence you will look for to indicate whether your intervention is effective. Description of how your solutions will improve motivational outcomes as well
