Create a Handout for ELL Parents

For this task, you will create a pamphlet suitable for distribution to parents, especially those with children with special needs such as English language learners and/or with mental or physical disabilities. In your pamphlet, present to the parent or caregiver recommendations for effective practices for teaching special populations to read and write in school and at home.  Since the parent or caregiver will most likely not be fluent readers and speakers of English, or may have limited formal schooling, be sure to include meaningful graphics and graphic organizers, and simple, but informative text.  To ensure that your parents will try to read and follow your recommendations, avoid using too much jargon, too much clutter with smaller font size; and be sure to use  a design that your colleagues will ask to use for their parents!  Length: 3-4 pages Your pamphlet should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic.  Your paper should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards.  Review The Basic APA Style tutorial as needed.
