Creating and maintaining a digital Professional Portfolio allows nursing professionals to provide employers and others with documentation quickly and easily.
In this course, you draw from your previous coursework in this Master of Science in Nursing program to develop your Professional Portfolio.

Professional Portfolio Template: This document provides the structure for assembling your Portfolio. It includes the Program Outcomes Evidence Chart, which allows you to summarize your accomplishments and demonstrate how you met each program outcome. As you use this chart, consider how the learning activities in your courses supported you in meeting the Walden University and School of Nursing goals related to service, scholarship, and social change.

1. Analyzed Servant /Transformational leadership styles. Initiated Transforming Care at the Bedside (TCAB) which moves the decision making to bedside nurse for quality care improvement.
2. Developed a nursing strategic plan to address HCAHPs scores for patient satisfaction and positive clinical patient outcomes.
1. Enrolled in MSN program to learn more about leadership and management to be a credible and knowledgeable leader on the Senior Leadership Team. I am leading the initial phase of applying for Pathway to Excellence designation.
2. Analyzed results of Employee survey and developed action plans to address concerns. I led department head meetings to introduce accountability measures. Completed 105 hours of Lean training, became certified in Lean, and facilitate Lean projects.
1. I chaired the Student Passport (universal training for nursing students) project for Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives (WONE). Students can access the program on-line. It has been implemented in 2 regions.
2. Enhanced the patient safety program by proactively identifying risks and taking action. WONE is addressing fatigue management by developing a white paper for sharing with all organization.

Organized, developed, and implemented a Project in the ED at UPMC Hamot to improve sepsis care provided to patients.
Developed a Practicum Project that helped improved confort of new nurses with Death and Dying.
Implemented a Project to improve the throughput of outpatient procedure patients to help decompress the hospital during times of high census.

My ED sepsis Project saved lives and changed the entire culture of the ED. The Project data was disseminated at several conferences to be replicated by other facilities.

Performed thorough literature reviews about best-practices on a number of topics in several of my MSN classes. Topics included sepsis, blood culture collection methods, mentoring, and nurse retention. Used research gathered for MSN to develop and implement a substantial Project to imrpove sepsis care in the ED.
Developed a Practicum Project that helped improved comfort of new nurses with Death and Dying.
Developed a Project that improved the throughput of outpatient procedure patients – referred to as OPT.
Disseminated this research in a number of conferences and venues to help others replicate the study.
Shared results of my Practicum Project with leaders in the organization.
OPT changed the outpatient procedure process to become more patient-centric, improving patient satisfaction.
