Discussion Board Post – Career Metaphors

Post initial discussion after reading Chapter 1 & 2 in your text. Be sure to include evidence of content related to your text. Background: The text discusses the use of career metaphors. A metaphor being a figure of speech in which a point is made about something using by substituting something else to demonstrate a quality of the first in a dramatic way. Metaphors often provide compelling images.

The text provides some examples of career metaphors. Apply your understanding of career metaphors to the following discussion. Discussion Questions: Provide some background on your career to educate the reader. Think about your career. What metaphors apply to your career?

List at least two metaphors you find applicable. List three people (first names only, please) and provide some basic career information. What metaphors would apply to their careers? What are the meanings you are trying to convey with the above listed metaphors? I am currently a technology analyst that assists with third level support.
