For an effective intervention, it is trivial for nurses be wary of symptoms and ready to conduct the tests as they diagnose infection. Comparator: Nurses are held responsible for managing all the indwelling urinary catheters in a facility, and should effectively exercise the core policies that are recommended by the CDC to help counter CAUTIs.

The aim is to minimize the use of catheters in patients, and to shun the use for the benefit of the nursing staff (i.e. management of incontinence).
