An enormous literature has grown up around the notorious men (and women) of the West.  Some is highly fictionalized, most is either adulatory or part of a subgenre of hostile debunking.  Yet out of this discourse emerges Herda’s book, which is interesting as he admittedly notes that he is “pleased to present my biography of Doctor John H. Holliday to the world in order to set the record straight.  In his very own words.”  Based on your reading of Herda’s book, they call me DOC The Story Behind The Legend Of John Henry Holliday and the film Tombstone, respond to the following question: Who exactly is Doc Holliday?
