Facebook Privacy Setting

Social networks are often criticized in the media for their privacy settings. For this assignment, you are asked to examine the privacy policy of Facebook to determine the appropriate settings to use for your own profile. Don’t worry, you do not need a Facebook account to do this assignment.  This assignment doesn’t have a student template, so create a document from scratch. Also, be sure you format your responses into complete paragraphs with full sentences. Your submission should be two pages in length, double-spaced.   Also, your writing should demonstrate disciplined thinking that is clear, rational, and informed. External references are not typically required, but if you decide to use outside references to support information, please consult the Writing Assignments: APA Style and Library Research Information for writing and reference information. Then visit the Facebook basics page  (Links to an external site.)  and read through the various topics on this page. How does Facebook protect your privacy? What are the default privacy settings, and do you think they do a good job of protecting you? If you do have a Facebook account, have you set your privacy settings to keep your personal information protected? When was the last time you checked and updated them?
