Gender and Sexuality
I am working on a sociology group project. these are the instructions from my professor: Each group will be assigned a chapter or sociological topic in which you will use as a starting point to analyze a piece of media (ie, magazine or newspaper article, tv show, movie, documentary, podcast, blog, channel, etc). The group is expected to develop and facilitate a presentation on the media piece and how the assigned chapter/topic is tackled within its storyline/theme. The presentation should include an analysis of how the piece either challenges or conforms to the concept/term/topic. Outlines should include a complete summary of the group’s presentations. Each group is required to submit one collaborative outline for each member of the class. All members of the group are required to participate in the development of the outline. Moreover, each member’s contribution should be documented on the outline. My group’s topic is on gender and sexuality, each of us has two main points to talk about. The two main points that I was assigned to talk about are the lack of resources and education for gay children, and the second point that I need to talk about are the families that gay children often have to develop outside of their biological families due to rejection. I will need one source/reference per point The piece of media that we also chose is the movie Moonlight on netflix, which is about a young African-American man grappling with his identity and sexuality while experiencing the everyday struggles of childhood, adolescence, and burgeoning adulthood, but you don’t need to worry about incorporating the movie in if you haven’t watched it. As long as you find two other sources, one for each point. any questions or further explanation you can reach me faster 6199204221
