Learning Goal
These are the goals for this paper: Introduce yourself to me so I know something about you Reflect on your past relationship to writing (and be honest about it!) Identify things you want to learn this term, and/or things you’re hoping to get out of this class. This helps me gauge your expectations and needs and try to ensure that they get met. First, tell me where you are on your journey with learning to write. I want to know what your writing instruction has been like, things you have hated and enjoyed, what writing teachers have done that have been helpful for you or incredibly frustrating for you. I want context into who you are, what you think about writing, and where learning about writing has landed in you up to this class. Second, I want you to describe what you are hoping to learn this term, and/or what you are hoping to take away from this class. I know you’re required to take English 101; I want you to think more deeply about your goals. What do you want from this experience? Imagine me as sitting here and taking notes, eager to help you learn as much as you can.
