Listening and Seeking Information Assignment

Please complete each of the following activities below and provide essay responses to each of the following questions and activities.  Your answers should be well thought out and single word/sentence answers will not be accepted. Review the youtube 6 steps for Active Listening What can you differently as a listener? Throughout your day, pick 2 people. With these two people, practice the skill of emotional paraphrasing.  This means you will practice a lead in phrase plus a feeling word that fits the situation. Provide a summary of the 2 conversations you had with two different people. Give the lead phrase plus a feeling word that describes their situation. How did they respond? Did you use the right feeling word to capture their emotion? Did they think you were helpful? Or did they think you were totally wacky for talking to them like that? 🙂
