Platos Timaeus

They will submit an essay, vt to equal a 1500-word research essay   These will: – investigate a topic in the history of ancient and medieval science. – be limited chronologically to 500 BCE-1500 CE, – discuss as a specific a topic within a narrow time range of about 20 years I also have attached 3 sources that need to be used in the essay Timaeus myth provides answers, not questions, it is strictly political. The science is in the cave, the world is the cave that he talks about. I am extremely interested in Platos Timaeus because he has 3 parts in his writing talking about different accounts and different theories and possibilities. The first account is the account by the intellect that describes artifacts and blueprint of the world and focuses on the most perfect harmonies of the soul. It also focuses on where the soles come and pass away but leaves us questioning how about the body? The second part of his writing talks about account by necessity growth. In the second part, he focuses on a receptacle which is a place pure potential he also has theories with triangles and talks about elements such as fire, water, earth, and air, also natural forms. The last part talks about the new beginning as well as the human body and diseases. I think one of the most interesting things Plato talks about is the description of the body he says that the head and roundness of it keeps the intellect inside, while neck keeps distance from the body, the stomach/belly is the demands of desires, and the spirits are in the heart. His concept of human life is depth is something that I will explore during this assignment. The questions that I have assigned to myself during this assignment is why does Plato refer to human life as depth? where was the blueprint established from? do any other body parts associate with anything scientific or beliefs? why are four elements talked about and how are they related to souls and or bodies? what are perfect harmonies? My initial proposal was this but the essay has to be more focused on Plato physiology/biology in timeus
