Psychology and Eugenics

you will write a paper that traces historical antecedents of a modern psychological theory, approach, or area of research.    1. Twelve to 15 double-spaced typed or word-processed pages of text (i.e., not including the title page, abstract, or references); one-inch margins and 12 point font (Times New Roman, CG Times or comparable). You will turn in a hard copy and an electronic copy (via email) of the paper.   2. A minimum of eight references from academic journal articles, books, or book chapters.  Do not use textbooks or Web pages as references.  Please check with me before using information from the internet in your paper other than full text online articles from peer reviewed journals. In general, if you are not sure if a source is a valid reference, please ask me.   3. Title page, abstract, and references.  Each is a separate page.   4. Your paper must be in APA format, most notably the citations and the reference section.  APA format guidelines appear in the Psychological Association Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th edition), and in Writing Papers in Psychology (9th edition).      5. The paper must be written in your own words with appropriate citations from the scholarly literature. Therefore, you should keep quoted material at a bare minimum.
