Happy In-class Writing Directions:  Write an essay on one of the following questions. Do you agree with the movie’s “recipe” for happiness?  How do the elements in the movie appear in your life?  Explain.  2. Which element of the happiness recipe do you currently lack?  How important do you think it is for you to achieve that missing piece? 3. How happy are you?  Do you believe you are naturally happy?  What is your in-born setting and how does it explain your feelings?  What can you do to increase your happiness? 4. Do you experience “flow?” How?  How does it contribute to your happiness? 5A purpose or a meaning contributes to happiness.  Have you discovered your purpose?  Does it contribute to your happiness.  Explain. 6. Sometimes we are happier after a terrible experience, for example the woman who was run over by the truck in the movie.  Write about a difficult time that ultimately led to greater happiness. 7. Imagine you know someone who is unhappy.  He or she asks you for advice.  What would you tell him or her to do in order to be happier?
