“General Guidelines

What Do You Think?
Reinforcement schedules significantly impact the development, rate, and
maintenance of behavior. Even the delivery of reinforcement in the form of a
paycheck for completing work tasks can impact employee performance. Consider
the following study on employee pay schedules and discuss your interpretation,
thoughts, and questions.

Real Life
Have you ever played a game before and didn’t want to stop? Revisit or imagine
that experience and how schedules of reinforcement might relate to continued
gameplay. What compound schedules of reinforcement can you identify from a
game that you’ve played before?

or experience? This is a space for peer engagement that will be monitored by
your instructor, but if you have specific questions for your instructor please use
