All analyses should include a mixture of categorical, ordinal, and scale variables. The final project represents 35% of your semester grade. Most students have already completed two components of the project – (1) developing a research question and project plan, and (2) processing and preparing class survey data. Each of those components accounts for 5% of the semester grade. We have modified the expectations for the remaining components of the final project based on the ASUadjusted timeline for course completion given the Covid-19 pandemic. Each student should be prepared to submit: • One R file in which a collection of statistical analyses are performed that investigate your individual research questions and hypotheses using the class survey. Your code, with its comments, should tell a “coherent story” of the portion of the class survey you have chosen to analyze, to the best extent possible. All statistical tests should be accompanied by interpretation of results, including accepting/rejection of null hypotheses, determination of statistical significance, and reporting of test statistics. Your code will be evaluated for (1) the range of statistical and visualization techniques you attempt to implement, (2) your success in implementing those techniques using appropriate code, (3) providing sufficient comments, and (4) successfully interpreting the results of your statistical tests and assembling a coherent, concise summary of your results. The presentation should NOT include a detailed explanation of your code, but instead focus on what you were investigating and what you found. Once your slides are complete, open a Zoom session and share your screen with the presentation in “Presentation mode.” (You will be the only person in your Zoom room). Then, start a recording and choose “Record to the Cloud.” Once recording has started, begin your presentation.
