For this essay, you should think about the problem with plastics in our ocean.  Here are some questions to help prompt your thinking.  You can use one or more of these, or come up with your own lines of inquiry on the subject.  How do you think this issue will impact our daily lives in the 21st century?  What types of problems will we encounter in our daily lives?  What kinds of solutions can be implemented in our daily lives?  How can the various people and governments coordinate to solve this issue?  Do you believe that it is possible to solve this problem within our lifetimes?  Is this problem a greater or lesser priority than climate change?  Think through the wider issues here and share your thoughts in your academic paper.
