The Originals
Read the first 5 chapters of the book The originals by Adam Grant. I have it on my kindle so when you take on the assignment I will give u the login information for accessing. Please note the title of the book and the author. Also note it is not a “novel” as that is a work of fiction. In your papers, refer to the title as Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World for the first mention and you can shorten to Originals for subsequent referrals. Remember that titles of books are always in italics or underlined, they are not put in quotes, but chapter titles are put in quotation marks. In 4-5 pages (typed, double-spaced) reflect on three ideas you found “original” in the book, in the sense that they provided new knowledge to you. 1). Explain the context 2). Discuss relevancy and/or possible applications to this class (This is a introduction to choreography and dance) (include how it is relevant to our body movements and dancing) 3). Share how you might envision these ideas relating to other aspects of your education (example I am studying communications and Public Relations) You should discuss these three connections for each of the examples you use—for instance, if you write about procrastination vis-à-vis Grant you should explain how he uses it and what is original about the usage in your opinion, how it can be applied to our class, and how it connects to other aspects of your education. Your paper should have both introductory and concluding paragraphs and be proofread to omit editing errors. You must cite any information that you use parenthetically in text and provide an attached works cited page including the text and any other sources used. If you use quotes or ideas from Grant you must cite in your paper. Whenever citing from the book you must use page number. The more you cite from the book the better.
