Use Of Fossil Fuels |Get Solution

Proposal to work off of with teacher feedback included: Is the use of fossil fuels in India worth the environmental cost? I am interested in this topic as it relates to a developing economy that is currently in its industrial revolution, and I find studying the economics of developing countries to be of interest. As other countries develop, they will also begin to utilize more nonrenewable energy to “fuel” their economic growth and development. Is fueling this economic growth with nonrenewable energy worth the overall environmental cost? To answer this question, I will attempt to gauge and measure the increased use of fossil fuels and other nonrenewable energy sources utilized by India over the past 30 years, primarily by tracking Co2 emission levels year over year. I will then measure environmental costs associated with this increase in nonrenewable energy as it pertains to not only India’s environment, but also the global environment. Next, I will measure the standard of living increase and overall GDP growth of India as it correlates to increased nonrenewable energy use.  This question is important as other developing countries in the future will most likely be driven to ramp up fossil fuel usage as they become more developed, as nonrenewable energy is very cheap.   FEEDBACK: You need to talk about alternative energy sources (what would be the case if instead of 90% ff, India utilizes 70% (for example) ff, replace the rest with cleaner energy, or even use gas instead of coal? The economic impact and environmental impact. And just keep in mind, one of the reasons that fossil fuel is cheap is not including the damages it causes (we like to think it’s cheap).
