In other words, you will conduct an investigation so you can write an informative essay. You may use definitions, evaluation, and recommendations that are supported by reliable sources, thereby increasing your credibility with an audience who needs your information. Ultimately, your newfound authority should call readers to action and recommend improvements and/or identify benefits related to the topic. Write an informative essay informing an audience of how a particular belief has had a positive or negative global or societal impact. Your goal will be to inform readers about the history of the belief and its impact. Use pathos to connect the reader to the issue, logos to explain the scope of the belief, and ethos to build your credibility by citing trustworthy sources. Your essay will end by drawing a conclusion about the positive or negative impact on community. It will not be an argument. It simply draws a conclusion. This will give you the opportunity to review any biases you have about the belief.
