This week you will be in a discussion group of three students. Each student will explain and teach others how to solve one of the three problems below.  All three problems must be answered; decide among yourselves who will answer each question. You may present your lesson by typing your answer (although typing equations can be difficult), writing on a piece of paper then submitting a photo, or videotaping yourself (please provide a link to your video because it is advised not to upload large files to Canvas). Feel free to ask each other for help. You are also required to comment on both of your group members’ posts The diameter of the insulin molecule is about 2.70 nm. Convert this length to centimeters. This is not a paper or essay. Feel free to include images, graphs, charts, or any other design element of your choosing. You can use the software of your choice to create the brochure. For example, you can complete the brochure as a PDF, a Word document, an infographic, or any other visual that works for the content of this assignment. A few examples of free software that can help you are Adobe Spark, Canva, Flipbuilder, and Lucidpress. You do not have to use any of these sites; rather, they are meant to provide you with options for creating your brochure. Be sure to include a reference list in the current APA Style of all sources used. The finished product should be converted and turned in as a PDF or Word file for grading purposes.

Explain the importance of the biological buffer systems and gas relationships in our bodies.   Background This week we will study solids, liquids, gases, and acids and bases. The gas laws play an important role in respiratory care. Titrations are important in medicine as pharmacists and anesthesiologists, to name a couple of examples, use this method to determine the amount of medicine a patient needs. A healthy individual’s fluids must maintain a certain pH in order to function properly.   Prompt Choose one of these topics (gas laws, titrations, pH levels) and provide an example of how they are used in medicine. Discuss the importance of these principles in the treatment of a patient. Some examples are carbon dioxide playing a role in maintaining pH, the kidney’s role in helping to maintain blood pH, altitude sickness, how gas laws play a part in syringes and injections and determining medication dosage through titration, to name just a few.

Need to write a 300-word report about the structure and biochemistry of the stratum corneum and relate it to the function of the barrier. There is no introduction and conclusion included in this writing so you crucially need to get straight to the point and be concise as it is only limited to 300 words. I have also attached a file on the marking criteria you need to follow to aim for good grades. As you can see, the first and second ‘content and ideas’ rubric is crucial to follow as it is worth at least 30 points.  There are two main parts to this writing: – Comprehensively outline the structure and show a sophisticated understanding of the biochemistry of the stratum corneum and explain why this is a good barrier (always relate everything you are saying to the barrier function). (This part is 60% of what is explained in this writing, so focus more on this more than the other which is written below). – Explain how the skin treatment ‘crystal microdermabrasion’ disrupts/impairs the barrier and how it recovers following this procedure. (again, do not write anything about the procedure process, get straight to the point). (Could be a couple of sentences or a very small paragraph). Everything explained has to be related back to the function of the barrier (if it doesn’t, then don’t include it in this writing). Relate at all times. Everything said needs to be explained in-depth and in detail. (Why and how) But as scientifically as possible, do not put unnecessary words as you need to think about the word count.   in regards to the marking criteria rubric, do not worry too much about the ‘referencing’ and ‘presentation’. Do not use images. and you need at least 15-20 references from peer-reviewed journal articles. No less than 15. They need to be relevant; the peer-reviewed journal articles have to be no less than 5 years old. Because I attend an Australian school, those are the rules of good research. Good research is needed!! As this is 300 words, 25 words more than the general order requirement, I will pay extra once completed and if this is outstanding quality, I will give a good tip.

 How vitamins and minerals/trace elements affect health/human body? Determine chemical names and/or chemical formula for diatomic or simple polyatomic compounds and draw a Lewis structure, construct a molecular geometry and determine the polarity for a covalent compound. (This is what he is looking for in the paper).

For this topic, you will select two problems from the Chemistry: Atoms First, OpenStax text (in the link there is a book), one problem from each of the following two problem sets:For Problem 1: You MUST select a problem from the end of the chapter “Exercises” from Chapter 3: Problems 1-15; 46-86.For Problem 2: You MUST select a problem from the end of the chapter “Exercises” from Chapter 14: Problems 1-25.These problems and their discussions will be included together in one post. After you decide which problems you would like to discuss, start a thread in the Topic Discussion. You need not fill in the content—only begin a thread with a subject line that includes your name and the problems you will be discussing. When you are ready to fill in the details of the post, you can simply go back into your post and select “Edit” and put the information into your post. By starting your post, you are claiming your problems and no other student is allowed to choose the same problems.You need to:*show work to find solution (you can use an embedded image or the ? button on the Rich Text Editor if appropriate).*explain in the text how you approached and worked through the problem.Ideally, you will choose problems that you had a hard time solving until something is selected (which you would then explain–what you figured out that you did wrong, etc.). Either way, you should lead a discussion about the problem. This will help everyone go through the thought process of these problems, see different ways that students set them up, compare approaches, maybe learn new strategies and hints, recognize mistakes, etc. If you cannot solve the problem at first, no worries, your classmates and myself will give you help you along and you can edit your problem until it is due. If you are having trouble, show your work and explain where you are getting stuck. Remember, you are not getting graded on whether you solve the problems correctly, but rather the attempt you make and the discussion you have with us related to it. So it will likely be more beneficial to you to select challenging problems with which you need help as opposed to easy ones that you can already solve.
