This assignment requires you to create a PowerPoint presentation to explain the two-party political system used in the United States and to describe both the Democratic and Republican parties’ actions and functions during a presidential election.You should discuss each party and its respective process to select a nominee for president, identifying each step of the process. It may be helpful to choose a particular presidential election and follow the candidates, from announcing their candidacy to their selection as the party nominee.Your PowerPoint presentation must consist of 10 to 14 slides, not counting the title and reference slides.Your presentation must include the items listed below.§ Include a title slide with your name, date, course, and assignment.§ List the presentation’s objective(s), a table of contents, or an introductory paragraph/slide.§ Provide information about each political party’s structure and composition.§ Include a definition of superdelegates and an example of their impact on an election.§ Include information about how media acts as a political socializing agent during an election.§ Provide information about how each party uses the media.§ Include a few bullets describing whether the two-party system remains as a fair and viable process. Be sure to include information about the positives and negatives of the two-party system.§ Provide three to four pictures, maps, or graphs that will illustrate important points in your presentation. These should be used on a slide and not put on a slide separately without explanation.Your slides should elaborate on the points above. You may include additional information that you feel is relevant, but do not create more than 14 slides. Use your creativity and organize the material in a logical and understandable manner.Use APA formatting for all references used on each slide. You must use at least three outside sources. I.e. used as examples or evidence to support your analysis. Make sure to use complete sentences and proper grammar. Your response to the prompt should focus on analyzing the information you gathered. Incorporate the information you gathered by using it to provide examples and support for your response. “A” papers should include a critical analysis of the videos by applying at least 1 example from each film to support your position. (Links to an external site.) PART 2: Video Reflection, Analysis and Submission Instructions Write a reflective analysis of crime, justice, and punishment under application of the Death Penalty, in Texas, based on the application of what you learned from Todd Willingham Case Video. Write an essay that addresses each of the prompt’s 2 components, Issue Position, and Explanation, and Application, outlined below Issue Position: First, Identify whether you are for, or against the use of the death penalty as a form of criminal punishment (there is NO right or wrong answer). Successful completion of this assignment, and it’s learning objective, require your compliance in identification or your personal position, and perspective, towards the issue of the “death penalty”.  Responses are confidential and will be graded objectively, based on student’s independent, reflective analysis of their own individual personal perspectives,  and application of the information. Explanation and Application Then, Discuss, and describe, the nature of the political debate, surrounding the issue of the death penalty, and explain how your personal position toward the issue has changed or been reinforced, with regard to the application to crime, punishment, and justice in Texas, based on what you learned from the movie. 

Using the data you compiled under the Week 7 – Eco Moment (Dinner Data), discuss these questions: How do your data relate to air, water, and energy uses/abuses associated with the average American meal–is it greater or less than the average miles driven per day in a typical American car?  If your meal included meat, dairy or eggs, be sure to discuss the water footprint of these items. How is carbon footprint impacted by plant-based vs. animal-based products? Find and explore the website for a Texas interest group of your choice. Do a search for a subject you are interested in and see if there is a group that matches. Then see if they are active in Texas. You may have to spend some time looking if you want to find a group that matches your own interests. Most of the groups that you will find should have site names ending in “.org” since they are organizations. Once you have found a group, analyze the group through its website. Be sure and discuss what kind of information is available on the site.  Consider the following: What does the group stand for?  (usually, this is in the “About” section), What activities does it engage in to draw attention to the cause/change government policy? What types of benefits does the group offer to prospective and current members? Is it an offshoot of a national interest group?  If yes, how is it similar/dissimilar to its national counterpart? What attracts you to this group? Is the group likely to be successful in swaying public opinion/political leaders?  Why or why not?  Consider what you know about the political culture in Texas, the current legislature and executive.
