Part 1 -Please watch all three videos and share your thoughts, reactions, and reflections with the rest of the class. It’s a critical analysis paper for gender in science class. We’re using PEAR to structure body paragraphs. My main questions are 1) How are men or the concept of ” the male” represented in the primary sources? 2) How are men supposed to act and what sort of social roles are men prescribed in the sources? 3) How did the representation of men in the sources contribute to or undermine existing social hierarchies and ways of thinking?

Based on the readings and the lectured materials, Watch the embedded video and write a “meaty” paragraph explaining the way in which the media reinforces gender stereotypes. How are these stereotypes changed when we add class, race, and disability? How does being intersectional complicate the solutions to these problems? Think about the binary system and the complicated matrix of domination it creates that garners both barriers and privileges for various people.
