What can be classified as a grievance? Contracts will have specific steps for a grievance procedure; however, the basic framework includes a verbal discussion, a written discussion, a formal meeting, and arbitration. Discuss the importance of each step in the grievance procedure along with why steps cannot be skipped. The Bureau of National Affairs has sanctioned a test to determine whether the just cause is satisfied. What are the questions that must be answered for justification?

Cultural Competence and Professional Training Identify the training, workshop, seminar, or conference on diversity or cultural competence you selected for the Unit 9 study (name of the association, the title of training, dates of training, location, cost, et cetera).Describe to your course room colleagues why this would be a worthwhile training to attend (learning opportunities, CEU credits available, networking opportunities, speakers, et cetera). At the beginning of this course, you completed an inventory with regards to yourself as a manager and then completed a reflective piece on your results.  Therefore, as we head to the end of this course read the attached piece, “Management vs. Leadership:  Five ways they are different.”  written by Liz Ryan, Forbes Magazine.  Then reflect on where you are in the process of becoming a manager/leader and identify 2-3 areas that you now think are strengths and why.  Then identify one area for growth and why.
